Overview:
Alcumus, a UK leader in contractor and supply chain compliance management, offers the successful SaaS solution, SafeContractor. It assists clients in managing outsourcing, risk, and compliance across various areas, including health and safety, the environment, and quality regulations.
In our review of the backlog, the product manager and I spotted a project with great potential. A key client faced financial losses due to internal staff tampering with SafeContractor data, leading to operational disruptions. This client’s significant revenue contribution helps us influence the decision to prioritize developing an audit trail feature, essential to enhance transparency, accountability, and data integrity, reducing incidents and improving operational efficiency for clients.
I managed the discovery research, conducted interviews, and coordinated consultations to delineate project requirements. Despite time and budget constraints, we launched a limited version, planning a fully compliant update later. Initial feedback was positive, prompting plans to expand testing with other clients, yet, more data needs to be collected to get a more accurate picture of the impact on the business.
